
First Nations Summit
Robert Phillips, a member of Tsq’escen’ (Canim Lake) First Nation in the Secwepemc (Shuswap) Nation, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University College of the Fraser Valley. With expertise in aboriginal justice and economic development, Phillips served three terms as a Commissioner at the British Columbia Treaty Commission and held roles including Chief Negotiator and Self-Government Director at Northern Shuswap Tribal Council. He was re-elected in June 2022 for a fourth term on the First Nations Summit Political Executive, focusing on Aboriginal Title and Rights negotiations in British Columbia.
